🎉A milestone for the energy transition in Assen!
💡On Monday 13
October, the municipal heat company Assen BV was officially founded! Alderman Martin Rasker signed the deed of incorporation and with that
the first step has been taken towards a sustainable heat network in the Lariks
district.
🚀The heat company
is fully in public hands: the municipality of Assen is a 100% shareholder. The
company does not aim to make a profit, but was founded to contribute to a
future-proof, affordable and sustainable heat supply for our residents.
With the establishment of the heat company, we can now also submit the
application for the Heat Network Investment Subsidy (WIS). This is expected to
be awarded in April 2026, so that we can start building a heat network and
connecting the first homes in the Lariks in early 2027.
The signing of this deed of incorporation is an important step towards actually
realising the heat network in the Larch.
